DAVIS INSTRUMENTS VANTAGE VUE PROFESSIONAL WEATHER STATION
WITH SOLAR POWERED SENSORS AND 1000FT WIRELESS RANGE**
The Vantage Vue (#6250) wireless weather station includes two components: the Integrated Sensor Suite (ISS) (#6357) which houses and manages the external sensor array, and the console (#6351) which provides the user interface, data display, and calculations. The Vantage Vue ISS and console communicate via an FCC certified, license-free frequency-hopping transmitter and receiver. This digital weather station implores the frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) technology that provides greater communication strength over longer distances and areas of weaker reception. User selectable transmitter ID codes allow up to eight stations to coexist in the same geographic area.
The Vantage Vue console can also receive and display data from any Vantage Pro2 or Vantage Pro2 Plus ISS but will not display UV exept via software only on PC. Solar Radiation & Evapotranspiration (ET) will display on the Vantage Vue screen when used with a VP2 ISS.
The console may be powered by batteries or by the included 110V AC power adapter. In countries outside the USA, a 240/220v to 110v power transformer is needed unless you operate the console on Alkaline batteries (referred to as a "travel adapter).
The wireless ISS is solar powered with a battery backup. Use WeatherLink for Vantage Vue to let your weather station interface with a computer, to log weather data, and upload weather information to the internet.
The Vantage Vue station relies on passive shielding to reduce solar radiation induced temperature errors in the outside temperature sensor readings. High quality, near sceintific weather station accuracy at a remarkable price.
**For longer distances or to improve reception in troublesome areas,
add one or more Wireless Repeaters. Transmitting and receiving range for
each repeater is up to 1000' (300 m) outdoors, line of sight; typical
range through walls under most conditions is 200' to 400' (60 to 120 m).
Includes solar panel, regulator circuit, and rechargeable battery.
Use up to eight repeaters with a single wireless station, or form a
network of weather stations by linking eight repeaters to eight
different wireless stations.
