The WIND WIZARD provides uncommon convenience, precision, and reliability. Its light weight and compact size make it easy to carry in a pocket so that you always have it when you need it. The handle unfolds quickly to form a comfortable and secure handhold. There is a built-in wrist lanyard for added security. The large dial is calibrated in three easy-to-read scales: miles/hour, meters/second, and Beaufort. 0-60 MPH (0-27 m/sec) Wind Speed Readout. Designed around a precision meter movement, the dial scale is supported on Sapphire Jewel bearings and restrained by Gold plated balance springs. Dial motion is dampended using a state-of-the-art "Rare Earth" magnetic circuit, which smooths and averages the reading during gusty wind conditions. The case is made from high impact plastic and all metal parts are corrosion resistant for long life. Protective Vinyl Leather-Like case. Best of All - No batteries needed!
