The 6152C relies on passive shielding to reduce solar-radiation induced temperature errors in the outside temperature sensor readings. The Fan-aspirated 6153 and 6163 combine passive shielding with a solar-powered fan that draws outside air in over the temperature and humidity sensors, providing a much more accurate temperature reading than that available using passive shielding alone. A daytime, solar powered fan can be added to the 6152C. 24hr fan is only available with the 6153 and 6163.
